St Peter's ChurchAuchmithieSt peter's Church was originally a Chapel of Ease built in 1882 to accommodate the members of St Vigean's Parish who live in the village. When the Church of Scotland wanted to close and sell it in 1982, the then Bishop of Brechin, the Rt Revd Ted Luscombe, bought it for the diocese so that there would continue to be a village church.
